So I realize I haven’t been great about posting blogs lately.
I haven’t been feeling super creative, and have been SO lame that I figured nothing was interesting.
The reason for this lame, non-creativeness?
I’m pregnant.
So pretty much I have just been sitting around doing nothing because I am tired. So tired.
My house is really messy, the laundry needs to be washed, folded and put away, the bathrooms need to be cleaned.
And I don’t care.
Well, I do care. But not enough to kill myself getting it done. I seem to have enough energy for about one project a day before I pass out again for a nap and that one project is typically making and then eat breakfast (and if I’m lucky cleaning up after it).
However, despite all this misery listed above (can you tell I dislike being pregnant?) I am very excited about another baby. Mostly because, despite the quiet protests of my husband, this is it. I will never be pregnant again. Assuming, of course, that all goes well with the pregnancy of course. I am also excited to see the makeup of our family somewhat complete. Will we have 3 boys and 1 girl? Or 2 boys and 2 girls? It’s so fun to think about how the different dynamics can work. Of course we have never found out the sex of the baby ahead of time and we don’t plan to on this one either so ya’ll will have to just wait on pins and needles along with us! In my opinion, finding out the sex of the baby ahead of time is like unwrapping your Christmas presents early and then wrapping them back up for Christmas day.
Lame.
I like a surprise and I’m willing to wait.
Plus we find it drives most of our friends crazy, which is sorta fun.
So this should be an exciting year for us – yet again! Like the year I was pregnant with Linus and Jeremiah had to be gone for training for 3 months, we moved to Ohio, renovated a 1940’s cape cod, then Jeremiah had to leave for another 6 weeks of training and got back 2 days before Linus was born and only made it back because they decided to let everyone go a week early from the training.
Then there was the year I was pregnant with Christian, I found out I was pregnant as Jeremiah was finishing up his masters degree and we were moving out of our house and in with some friends because our home had sold before we were actually moving, but we had to be out. So all our stuff went into storage and we went to our friend’s basement for two months, then moved to Colorado.
Good times.
Well, I prayed I would not have to do another move pregnant. It seems I have gotten my wish! We won’t be moving until probably the end of next summer and the baby is due May 16th.
Yay!
Speaking of moving, we don’t know where we are going yet. Jeremiah is now going to get his PhD. I am SO excited for him 🙂 So he is in the process of deciding which school he wants to go to, so we have a fairly wide range of options at this point but nothing definite yet.
But wherever we end up heading at the end of next summer – I won’t be pregnant.
And that, I am very excited about!
