I can’t believe my baby girl is 1 year old today! Isn’t it crazy how fast the first year goes? I always wonder if that is partly because you are so sleep deprived you don’t remember a lot of it.
Actually my kids have all been wonderful sleepers, I always knew even if I didn’t get much sleep for a night or two for some random (teething) reason I would get sleep another night.
Scarlett has been no exception. She has been a good girl right from the get go.
It’s such a nostalgic feeling to think back to the day she was born and how comforting it was to be in my own room, in my own bed, snuggling a newborn babe. If you haven’t been following very long, Scarlett was born at home with a midwife and it was the best birthing experience I have ever had.
I did her newborn shoot in my room a couple days after she was born and was able to use the same little pink ruffle outfit for her one-year old shoot – how fun is that?!
And now…not so much:
A little cake eating practice:
A classic Scarlett expression:
She ripped my sunglasses off my head and was trying to put them on:
And was unsuccessful, this is her pouty face:
She looks cute but what she’s really thinking, “What is this stupid thing mom put on my head and how do I get it off?”
“Ahhh, there we go. Much better.”
Forget this, how do I get this whole thing in my mouth…
