Welcome to Foods of Our Lives!
If you are here from UBP, thanks so much for stopping in – I am so excited to meet some new bloggers! I have never done anything like this before but I think it’s going to be great.
My name is Megan and I blog here at Foods of Our Lives. I post lots of amazing, healthy recipes and also quite a few delectable unhealthy recipes…
I believe in using whole foods, the way God made them – meaning raw milk, whole grains and farm fresh. I don’t mind making an exception here and there on occasion for cake though. I am obsessed with cake and next week will begin a new journey through a vintage cake cookbook I got my hands on recently and I plan to make a cake every week and post the recipe.
So a little about me personally…
The Lord Jesus Christ is my number one, my all in all and he gave me all I have.
I have been married to the love of my life, Jeremiah, for 11 years now. We were high school sweethearts 🙂 Awww….
I love to cook and eat and subsequently, workout. I love to run and do HIIT at home. Since we live kinda far out of town I don’t have a gym membership – I hate gyms anyway. Photography has been a big hobby of mine for years but I have only recently considered myself to be good at it. It comes in handy with the food blogging.
I wish I could find a way to make horses a necessity for food blogging but so far I haven’t come up with any good ideas. I love horses and desperately miss having them around, but this season of life just isn’t right for them because…
…we have 4 children:
Oh wait, two of those aren’t mine. Whoops! Gotta a couple extras there…
There we go. 4 children. All mine. So the oldest is Linus, he’s 7 going on 40 and can do math like, well almost as well as his father who is working on a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. So he’s pretty smart. Yes, I like to brag.
Next is Juliette, who is 5 and seconds as another mom to the younger two. She is way more maternal than I am or hope to ever be and is so sweet and caring. Unless you mess with her, then she will take you DOWN. She also loves the Little Mermaid and tries to sing like her. ALL.THE.TIME. Actually at this very moment I can hear her down in the basement singing…
Then Christian who is 3 and is my bulldozer/jellyfish (because he is clear and squishy) but likes to be called, “Appletree” we are not sure why but we call him that so we don’t get bulldozed. He has a very good sense of humor.
And last but not least is Scarlett. She is 10 months and adores people who adore her – namely her brothers and sister – and loves being the center of attention. She is a very dramatic teether, she is currently cutting 4 teeth and kept me up the whole first half of the night and my husband the second half and then she went to sleep just in time for us to both get up and proceeded to sleep the rest of the day.
So that’s a little about me and my blog and my life, cruise around, check things out. Please introduce yourself so I can check out your blog as well!
