BAKED Barbecue Chicken???

Share

Super easy people! And could very easily be done in the crock pot. Although I love how the BBQ sauce kind of caramelized on the chicken….

This is something my mother in law apparently used to make and my husband loves it. It’s sort of like a sweet, simple wing recipe. If you want to make it even easier, you can just use your favorite bottle of BBQ sauce or if you have homemade ready to go use that. This sauce recipe is delish but when I’m really feeling lazy, I just use my stash of homemade that I keep on hand.

Ingredients
1 package drumsticks
2 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 450.

2. Place the drumsticks into a baking pan or on a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil or a baking mat (easy cleanup!!).

3. Combine the rest of the ingredients.

4. Pour 1 cup of the sauce over the chicken, reserving the rest.

5. Bake the chicken until it’s opaque. About 40 minutes (It was longer for me but we are high altitude so things just take longer but if you are at sea level I would guess about 40 minutes).

6. Pour the rest of the sauce over the chicken and bake about 5 minutes longer. Serve!
