Raising Homemakers

Share

The other day a friend of mine posted a link on facebook to this website: http://raisinghomemakers.com

I LOVE it.

The title totally says it all. Raising homemakers.

This is what I desire for my daughter and it’s not because I think she needs to stay home and not get an education or whatever. It’s because I want her to understand the role the Lord designed for us as women.

The family unit really, in my opinion, runs best when Mom is home taking care of things. Now this is not to say that everyone should do that, I understand it just does not work for some families. I know many women who just are not happy in this role as ‘homemaker’ or some people really just need the extra finances. I get that.

But I want to raise my kids to be the best they can be and to me getting a well rounded education in taking care of hearth and home while she can experience that side of the world from a safe spot is very important.

If she goes through this ‘educational process’ of mine and decides it’s not for her, fine. But at least she has the knowledge and ability to go that direction if she wants too.

That being said I am very excited about this website because it just posts some very down to earth perspectives. Today’s post was to daughters and how they should try to be content with where they are in life. Which I thought was true of everyone. We need to find peace and contentment with where we are right now and only God can do that for us.

I thought I would share this information here because I know many people who would likely be very interested in this website and I wanted to make sure they know about it!
