Megan Betz, www.joyludwigphotography.com

Hello, my name is Megan and I love to cook and bake.

And eat.

I started this website mostly because people were constantly asking for my recipes and I thought this would be an easy way to distribute them. Since starting the site I have learned a ton about cooking, baking, web design and photography. Of course I know I still have much to learn but that’s the adventure of the whole thing!

I like to use the freshest ingredients I possibly can. To me this means farm fresh meat, eggs and milk, local fruits and veggies and I grind all my own grains into fresh flour. When I started this site we were living in Colorado in a sub-division where I had no immediate access to these things and I drove all over town getting them. We have recently re-located to Montana and have 10 acres and are in the process of getting our food supply as local as it gets – at our house! We just bought a couple goats for milk and I hope to start making our own cheeses and ice cream all from our goat milk. We also just bought 6 laying hens of various breeds so we can enjoy fresh eggs. e are in the process of getting the ground ready for a garden but won’t be able to plant anything until Spring 2013, the rocky soil just needs to much work for this year.

So please join me on this journey of learning the art of semi-sustainable living and even if you don’t use farm fresh products my recipes will still be great for you and your family. All my recipes are taste tested by my little family so they are kid and husband approved.

Thanks for stopping by!
