Hey there!
I’m Megan, welcome to my kitchen!
I live in Montana with my husband, 4 children, lots of ducks, chickens and goats, our Jack Russell terrier and a couple barn cats.
For now.
We are a migratory family and move often because of my husband’s job so who knows were we will be next but we know it won’t be here.
I have learned a lot living in Montana.
Mostly about myself and who I am.
I have learned that I love the snow. Probably because I like quiet and being alone and the snow is so conducive to that, especially when the frigid temperatures hit and no one wants to come outside.
Except me.
I love being outside when it’s cold and quiet and sparkling with snow and hearing the soft warm breath of the goats as they eat their grain and the stream of the milk hitting the pail and nearly instantly freezing as it trickles down the side.
I love the summertime when I head out my front door with a water bottle and my running shoes and just run as long as I want.
Just me and the mountains.
I also love swimming in the creek with my kids and splashing and playing and taking them up to our campsite on the back 10 to roast marshmallows.
I love going on crazy long road trips and driving the kids nuts listening to loud music with windows down.
I also love preparing nourishing meals and delicious treats which is why I started this website! All my friends and family kept asking for recipes so I decided to go ahead and put them all in an easy to access spot and invite everyone along for the ride.
So come along with me as I learn about raising kids, a bit of photography, cooking and take my kitchen back to the basics of scratch cooking.
