I love making homemade tarter sauce. It is easy and so much better tasting than store bought.
Plus you all know how I like to know what’s in my food!
You can adjust the ingredients to your taste of course, but this is pretty good stuff.

Serves: makes about a cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise (preferably homemade)
- 2 tablespoons minced dill pickles
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix together thoroughly.
- Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
